After studying classical piano for seven years in his German homeland, a 13-year-old Kaeshammer (pronounced “case-hammer”) discovered boogie-woogie mainly because played simply by Albert Ammons, Meade Lux Lewis, Pete Johnson, and Pinetop Smith. In 3 years, the teenager wunderkind was playing boogie-woogie piano in night clubs, concerts, and celebrations around Germany. He fascinated attention almost soon after the family members shifted to the western coastline of Canada, turning mind at shows at blues and jazz celebrations during the summer season of 1996. His 1st three recordings, Blue Secrets (1996), LET YOU KNOW How PERSONALLY I THINK (1998), no Strings Attached (2000), demonstrated raising maturity and creative evolution.
