Michael Hofstetter

Michael Hofstetter is a German conductor, noted for his shows in authentic period design. He studied in the Richard Strauss Conservatory in his hometown of Munich, focusing on body organ, piano, and performing. Employed in theaters in Wiesbaden and Giessen, he started conducting operatic shows, furthermore to teaching in the Johannes Gutenberg University or college in Mainz. He received the Robert Stolz Medal for his efforts to operetta, though his opera repertoire operates from Handel and Hasse to Wagner and Verdi.
