A talented pianist who’s able to match an average ECM session but additionally shows more open fire than expected, Michael Cain is so far best-known for his association with Jack port DeJohnette. Cain, who was raised in NEVADA, started playing piano when he was four and, although he began with traditional music, he was constantly quite thinking about improvising as well. He researched jazz and traditional music at North Tx State University and in addition researched at USC and Cal Arts.
