Miary Lepiera, author, singer, and guitarist, comes from Southwest Madagascar. While on tour using the Malagasy music group Njava, Lepiera 1st visited Europe, ultimately settling in Brussels. It had been in Brussels where he recruited his music group, Sairy, which presented players from mainland Africa and also Greece. Lepiera’s debut, Bitsibitsiho, premiered in 1999, and Miary Lepiera & Sairy released Soro in 2003.
