Mette Henriette

Mette Henriette is a Norwegian saxophonist and composer who emerged like a skill during her teenagers. She’s become a fundamental element of her country’s improvisational and contemporary classical scenes. Created in 1990 as Mette Henriette Martedatter Rølvåg, she comes from Trondheim; her family members heritage can be Samí. Her 1st device was trumpet and she performed it in her primary school marching music group, but turned to saxophone at age group 12. She keeps a Bachelor’s level from Norway Music Academy in Oslo, and researched Improvisational Music in the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Henriette offers collaborated with an array of performers and music artists including Sidsel Endresen, Christian Wallumrød, and Karin Krog in European countries, aswell as Marina Abramovic, Tom Rainey, Tim Berne, and Jim Dark in the U.S. She’s constructed music for Ultima Modern Music Celebration, Rikskonsertene, as well as the Cikada Quartet. She was area of the Aella trio with saxophonist Patrick Breiner and drummer Potential Goldman; their self-titled providing made an appearance in 2012 on 577 Reports. She actually is also area of the huge Norwegian ensemble Torg and made an appearance on their record Kost/Elak/Gnäll, that was made by Bugge Wesseltoft and released by Jazzland in 2015. In 2014, she received Norway’s Geir Digernes Memorial prize at Moldejazz. By possibility, Manfred Eicher fulfilled Henriette at a Dino Saluzzi concert in Oslo.
