Merrie Amsterburg

Boston singer/songwriter Merrie Amsterburg began her music career because the singer and guitarist for the later-’80s early-’90s music group the Natives, who have been nearly signed by KISS’ Gene Simmons, and recorded monitors with Blondie manufacturer Richard Gottehrer. However, both projects had been unsuccessful — Simmons’ label wasn’t prepared in time to own music group an excellent distribution deal, as well as the Gottehrer periods were hardly ever released; immediately after, the music group split up. Amsterburg’s disappointed career being a rock and roll & roller led her to a far more fulfilling one being a vocalist/songwriter; she extended her style to add folk, jazz, and globe music elements, in addition to even more personal lyrics.
