MercyMe

Although praise & worship band MercyMe were founded in 1994, vocalist Bart Millard says the group’s birth was an activity God began in him during senior high school. Millard recalls, “My father and my old brother had been both soccer players. So normally, that’s what I needed to do aswell. But I broke both my ankles inside a high-school soccer game which ended my profession.” Because of the damage, Millard was remaining with an elective course to fill up and reluctantly became a member of the only obtainable choice: choir.
