Mental Hippie Blood

A rare exemplory case of Swedish-bred grunge, the absurdly named Mental Hippie Bloodstream played a fascinating mixture of Soundgarden-inspired alternative steel and much more traditional steel. Offering vocalist Michael Oran, guitarists Mikael Jansson and Anders Wikstrom, bassist Lake Skoglund, and drummer Jonas Ostman, the music group documented their domestically released self-titled debut in 1992. Then they signed with Steel Blade information and released 1994’s Pounds world-wide before fading into obscurity.
