Home / Biography / Mendrugo

Mendrugo is a collaborative task from American indie folk designer Josephine Foster, her spouse, Spanish guitarist Victor Herrero, and Victor’s sibling José Luis. The group 1st surfaced on the 2013 compilation known as Your Victorian Chest from experimental Swiss indie Three:Four Information. Over another couple of years, Foster as well as the Herrero brothers continued to be focused on several other tasks before reviving Mendrugo once again in 2016. Their particular free-form style is usually highly affected by rustic Latin folk designs and in addition features efforts from Japanese woodwind designer Taku and Spanish folk musician Lorena Alvarez. Their debut recording, More Amor, premiered in the summertime of 2016 by U.K. label Open fire Records.
