Memoryhouse

A Canadian wish pop duo using a lo-fi design, Memoryhouse hail from Guelph, Ontario. The duo was founded in ’09 2009 by photographer Denise Nouvion (vocals) and traditional composer Evan Abeele (creation). They called themselves after traditional composer Maximum Richter’s 2001 recording from the same name and cite affects including My Bloody Valentine, Galaxie 500, and Cocteau Twins. Memoryhouse produced their saving debut in ’09 2009 with “Towards the Lighthouse.” This year 2010 the duo released The Years, a four-track EP within the Arcade Audio label, and Recently, a single that a promo video was filmed. The solitary was re-released in 2011 by Sub Pop, which also released the duo’s full-length debut, The Slideshow Impact, in 2012.
