Memo Bernabei & His Ballroom Dance Band

b. 1917, Pittsburgh, Pa, USA. Band innovator Bernabei had previously caused Ray Pearl, Arvin Dale, Jan Garber and Don Reid before developing his personal musical congregation in 1958. Although this group demonstrated very popular in LA, California, USA, the probability of nationwide fame when confronted with rock ‘n’ move’s onslaught got receded significantly. Providing a diet plan of tracks in the traditional dance band custom, including ‘Bernabei’s Jump’ and ‘Recollections Of You’, the group guaranteed times at many ballrooms and resorts. Bernabei’s main agreements originated from the Chateau Ballroom (LA) and Golden Western Ballroom (Norwalk), locating more permanent work at the second option emporium as supervisor and leader of the home band. He continuing leading his orchestra throughout his eighties.
