Biography

Bassist Melissa Auf der Maur was briefly an associate of two of the largest alt-rock sets of the ’90s, Opening as well as the Smashing Pumpkins, before starting a single career through the early 21st hundred years. Given birth to on March 17, 1972, in Montreal, Canada (her mom, Linda Gaboriau, was among Montreal’s first woman rock and roll radio DJs), Auf der Maur began her music profession by playing bass in regional clothes, including Tinker.
