Although her third-place finish on American Idol’s sixth season introduced Melinda Doolittle to a fresh audience, the neo-soul singer already boasted an extraordinary résumé, having spent the better a part of ten years singing backup for famous brands Aaron Neville, Jonny Lang, Charlie Peacock, and CeCe Winans.
