Meilyr Jones

Multi-instrumentalist Meilyr Jones is normally a Welsh singer and songwriter focusing on a whimsical make of chamber pop. He co-founded the psych-pop-leaning Competition Horses (originally known as Radio Luxembourg) as an adolescent in Aberystwyth in 2005. Performing in both Welsh and British, he offered as their business lead vocalist for three produces: the 2007 EP Diwrnod Efo’r Anifeiliaid, 2010’s full-length Goodbye Falkenberg, and their last album, Home furniture, released in 2012. The music group performed a farewell present in Feb 2013 at Clwb Ifor Bach in Cardiff. For the time being, Jones spent 3 years on the Royal Academy of Music before falling out, and helped a few of his compatriot music artists, including showing up on Cate Le Bon’s 2012 record Cyrk and signing up for Neon Neon’s touring music group to get 2013’s Praxis Makes Ideal. Stimulated by a vacation to Rome, Italy in the springtime of 2013, his debut single album, entitled 2013, premiered in March 2016 via Moshi Moshi Information.
