Megan Reilly

Vocalist/songwriter Megan Reilly composes a lilting sort of beauty that’s much like Kitty Power, Rilo Kiley’s Jenny Lewis, and Tanya Donelly. Given birth to in Memphis in 1978, Reilly started taking acoustic guitar lessons at age group 15. She created her first music group, Lucynell Crater (called honoring a Flannery O’Connor personality), soon thereafter. Performing around the Memphis pub scene and documenting an individual with Doug Easley for Loverly Information kept Reilly occupied for another couple of years. In the brand new millennium, Reilly going north for the bustling NY music picture. Within weekly, she was befriended by Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley.
