We were young in Oxnard, California with a great many other artists who finished up for the Rocks Throw label, Nick Rodriguez, aka Medaphoar (and later, MED), was raised inside a musical family, and by age group nine he was freestyling to amuse his parents. By junior high he was composing his personal rhymes, and by senior high school he was something of an area celebrity. Searching for beats 1 day, Medaphoar visited the home of Otis Jackson Jr., or Madlib, who was simply impressed by the MC’s abilities and asked him into his team, Lootpack, as an unofficial member. After hearing his looks for the group’s 1999 full-length Soundpieces: Da Antidote!, Rocks Throw mind Peanut Butter Wolf asked Medaphoar to become listed on his label, and quickly he was presented on lots of the roster’s produces, including Quasimoto’s, Madlib’s, and Madvillain’s. The rapper, who was simply at the moment going simply by MED, finally released his single debut, Push Involves Shove, in 2005. The follow-up, 2011’s Vintage, would feature unique guests Talib Kweli, Aloe Blacc, and Hodgy Beats. 2 yrs later on he teamed with Madlib and rapper/maker Blu for The Burgundy EP, after that in 2015 the trio released Poor Neighbor, an recording that presented the one “Rappcats.”
