Meat Wave

Chicago-based outfit Meat Wave are zero strangers with their flourishing regional underground scene, splitting their time taken between other bands such as for example Elephant Gun, Truman & His Trophy, and Red Torpedo, to mention but several. Created by Chris Sutter (acoustic guitar, vocals), Joe Gac (bass), and Ryan Wizniak (drums) in the summertime of 2011 following the demise of Truman & His Trophy, the trio chosen a more intense, powerful audio than that of their earlier bands. In springtime 2012 the group joined the studio room to record their self-titled debut recording; while originally released via Bandcamp, a cassette edition also made an appearance via Let’s Pretend Information later that 12 months. In 2013 the trio performed a wide array of regional and national displays while focusing on their second recording; this continuing into 2014 when their debut recording was reissued on vinyl fabric by Hawthorne Road Records. For the others of that 12 months, the band continued with non-stop touring commitments, with displays over the U.S. just before going to the U.K. at the start of 2015. Their Sibling EP premiered in January 2015, once more via Bandcamp, and on vinyl fabric through GRIT YOUR TEETH Records. Later on that year Meats Wave authorized to Part One Dummy, which released the group’s second full-length recording, Delusion Moon, in Sept. Teaming up with Chicago creation star Steve Albini, Meats Wave documented their follow-up LP, The Incessant, which found its way to February 2017.
