MC Lars

MC Lars (true name: Andrew Nielsen) began building hip-hop-based tapes even though still a youngster, but was sidetracked from rap by such traditionally essential issues (to teens) as using guitar within a punk music group and finding accepted to some college. Nielsen visited Stanford and do an exchange stint at Oxford, but even while he was fiddling with desktop productions and developing his quirky, pop-culture-savvy design. Boisterous live gigs and person to person built hype for Lars’ home-studio raps (affects: from Atom & His Bundle and Strange Al Yankovic to KRS-One as well as the Beastie Children). London imprint Vehicle Records released a Lars full-length, Radio Family pet Fencing, in 2003, as well as the MC implemented that with U.S. and U.K. tour schedules. As the entirety of Fencing was documented on his pc, the 2004 EP Notebook — while still charmingly simplistic — was a relatively grander creation, with examples of significant rockers (Piebald, COMPLETELY NEW) along with a more powerful melodic sense. Slashes like “iGeneration” and “Putting your signature on Emo” were strikes with downloaders and mtvU audiences, and MC Lars do live schedules with groupings like Gym Course Heroes and Bowling for Soup through springtime 2005. The full-length The Graduate — as MC Lars could therefore contact himself a Stanford alum — made an appearance in March 2006. In ’09 2009, he collaborated with Strange Al Yankovic on “Accurate Player for Genuine,” a monitor out of this Gigantic Automatic robot Kills, and he was became a member of by KRS-One and Sage Francis for Lars Episodes! in 2011. Twelve months afterwards, the Edgar Allan Poe EP lowered. Lars’ 2015 task, The Zombie Dinosaur LP, was funded by Kickstarter and highlighted performances from Kool Keith and Watsky, amongst others; it reached Billboard’s Heatseekers graph. Next emerged the 2016 mixtape Donald Trump Offers Very Poor Morals along with a 2017 EP, Revenge from the Nerd.
