Max Q

Following breakthrough success of INXS’ 1987 album Kick, the group’s charismatic frontman Michael Hutchence came back to his native Australia to create the side task Max Q with Ollie Olsen from the punk group Whirlywirld. The twosome, who initial collaborated to record music for the 1986 film Canines in Space, co-wrote and co-produced Potential Q’s self-titled debut record, an even more loud and politically billed work than Hutchence’s past function in INXS. However the singles “Method of the Globe” and “Occasionally” damaged the Aussie graphs, the record even so didn’t garner much worldwide interest and was the duo’s exclusive release.
