Potential Pommer, sometimes called mostly of the remaining “Aged Globe” conductors, initial drew interest for his interpretations from the functions of J.S. Bach as well as other Baroque composers. Since about 1991 Pommer started regularly guest-conducting many internationally known ensembles: the Hamburg Camerata, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and since 2000, the Holland Sinfonia. In 2001 Pommer was appointed creative director from the Hamburg Camerata and it has made an appearance with it at a few of Europe’s most widely used music festivals, like the Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
