Max Bulhões

Max Bulhõsera, son from the pianeiro (popular pianists of Rio de Janeiro’s Belle Époque) J. Bulhõsera, debuted in 1935 using the samba “Promessa” (created with Jaime Vogeler), documented by his partner. Author of the strikes “Não Tenho Lágrimas” (with Milton de Oliveira), a Carnaval traditional of 1937 (re-recorded by Nat “Ruler” Cole on his 1959 LP A Mis Amigos as “Arrive to Mardi Gras,” and by a great many other interpreters), and “Sabiá-Laranjeira” (with Milton de Oliveira), Bulhõsera got his “Quero Evitar” (with Wilson Batista) documented in the same yr by Vogeler; while “Sabiá-Laranjeira” was documented by Patrício Teixeira (who also documented “Não Tenho Lágrimas”). Also in 1937, his batuque “Vem Baianinha” (with Constantino Silva) and his samba “Só Um Novo Amor” had been documented by J.B. de Carvalho. In 1941, his sambas “Pode Implorar” and “Procurei” (with Milton de Oliveira) and “European union Não” (with Henrique de Almeida) had been documented by Linda Batista. Bulhõha sido also had music documented by Francisco Alves, but empty his artistic profession to devote himself to his work on the administration from the harbor of Rio de Janeiro.
