Mavis Piggott

A hard-rocking, (mainly) woman post-grunge band located in Seattle, Mavis Piggott by no means caught the eye of the general public at large. Much less abrasive than Opening or Babes in Toyland, much less girlish than Veruca Sodium, their music dropped somewhere among; it also fulfilled with general indifference from critics, who generally discovered it solid but missing variation. Guitarist/vocalist Meghan Adkins teamed up with drummer Nicole “Nicky” Thomas to discovered Mavis Piggott; Thomas experienced previously used the all-female Dischord music group the Open fire Party before relocating from Washington, D.C., towards the Western Coastline. Adding bassist John Wickhart, past due of the lately defunct Hush Harbor, Mavis Piggott authorized with Flydaddy and debuted having a 1995 EP known as Past due Bloom. Their 1st full-length album, YOU WILL BE Low, found its way to 1996 and slipped mainly beneath the radar. Another album, Inside a Dark Match, adopted in 1999 and received somewhat more interest, but didn’t earn them a wider target audience, as well as the group silently faded away.
