Mauro Giuliani

An acclaimed Italian guitar virtuoso and composer, Mauro Giuliani, along with Fernando Sor, was among the last great traditional proponents of his instrument until its revival in the first twentieth century. He analyzed counterpoint as well as the cello, but within the six-string acoustic guitar he was completely self-taught, which became his primary device in early stages.
