Maura O’Connell

Maura O’Connell embodies many paradoxes: business lead vocalist for De Danann, she had not been a normal Celtic vocalist; resident of Nashville, she actually is not really American; collaborator with New Lawn Revival, she actually is not really a bluegrass performer. However, O’Connell has produced a name for herself on two continents as an excellent singer. O’Connell was created and elevated in Region Clare, Ireland, where she started singing young. Involvement within the folk golf club scene resulted in an invitation from Celtic traditionalists De Danann to become listed on their rates. Her participation with De Danann led to the documenting of Star-Spangled Mollie, a definite indication appealing in transatlantic tradition.
