Matt Valentine

Freak folk musician Matt “MV” Valentine was an associate of the brand new York experimental rock and roll collective MV & EE through the entire 2000s, before moving to Vermont to develop his very own rural home studio room and speak to nature. On the next a decade at Optimum Arousal Plantation, he reportedly produced over 100 physical recordings, placing out cassettes, LPs, and CD-Rs on Audible Hiss, Kid of Microtones, Fringes Recordings, Dad Yod, Ecstatic Peacefulness!, Qbico, and Siltbreeze. A lot of Valentine’s music was motivated by Indian traditional and psychedelic folk, and blended improvisational acoustic recordings with field noises, tape loops, and his very own spaced-out vocals. In 2011, his lo-fi, hippie design piqued the eye of individuals at Woodsist Information, and What I Became premiered.
