The solo project of seasoned American drummer/percussionist and Rock and roll & Move Hall of Popularity inductee Matt Sorum, who began using the Cult, overran the kit for Weapons N’ Roses in 1990 following the departure of Steven Adler, and co-founded Velvet Revolver. Matt Sorum’s Fierce Pleasure (the moniker was coined by the famous Lemmy Kilmister throughout a Motörhead tour that discovered Sorum completing on drums) eschews the frenetic, hard rock and roll strategy of his previous projects for a far more acoustically minded, narrative-driven design that discovers the veteran musician and vocalist/songwriter trading in the skins for piano, electric guitar, and most significantly, lead vocals. Stratosphere, the project’s debut long-player, premiered via Rok Dok Recordings in March 2014.
