A versatile guitarist that has played in configurations which range from avant-garde jazz to globe music and creative fusion, Matt Balitsaris has lived in NEW YORK because the mid-1970s. Over time he spent some time working (both like a guitarist so when a maker) using the rings C’est What and Loose Sneakers, Mino Cinelu, Cecil McBee, Dewey Redman, Fred Hersch, saxophonist Cornelius Bumpus and many more. Furthermore. Balitsaris has documented a set of duo albums with vibraphonist/percussionist Jeff Berman.
