Norwegian trumpeter/multi-instrumentalist Mathias Eick is really a thoughtful, ambient-leaning jazz musician. Given birth to in 1979, Eick offers performed with a number of name players and it is a member from the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra as well as the intensifying jazz/digital ensemble Jaga Jazzist. Like a trumpeter, Eick is a lot in the custom of such players as Kenny Wheeler, Chet Baker, Kilometers Davis, and Enrico Rava. Eick released his single debut album, THE ENTRANCEWAY, on ECM in 2008. That same 12 months he was also presented on guitarist Jacob Young’s ECM launch Sideways. In 2011, Eick came back to his single use the more sophisticated pop-oriented Skala.
