R&B vocalist Mateo, given birth to Iman Jordan, comes from Cincinnati, Ohio. The grandson of program guitarist Fred Jordan (Freddie Ruler, James Dark brown), he went to and graduated from Morehouse University prior to shifting to NY, and then LA, where he set up his music profession. He agreed upon to MySpace’s label but continued to be there for under two years, lengthy enough release a some mixtapes. Krucial Sound then selected him up and released a mixtape, Appreciate & Stadiums, in 2011. After jumping to Interscope, Mateo continuing to utilize manufacturer Kerry “Krucial” Brothers. Collection 823, just one more mixtape, premiered in 2012. A five-track EP, We’ve Met Before, implemented in 2013.
