Matahari

Latin rock-band from Chile Matahari was shaped in 1996 by keyboardist Claudio Nervi, bassist Ernesto Duboy, and guitarist Edison Belmar, who have been later joined up with by singer Karla Argandoña and Andrés Baeza. After documenting a demonstration tape, mostly affected by American blues-rock, the music group started touring the neighborhood club circuit. Quickly, percussionist Marcelo Espíndola, drummer Utmost Ortíz, and vocalist Gloria Pérez became the brand new members. Once the leading vocalist made a decision to keep the work, Ema Pinto, who was simply previously doing back-up for Joe Vasconcellos, got her place.
