Massilia AUDIO SYSTEM are a People from france reggae group dynamic for several years whose wide-ranging design includes areas of dancehall, hip-hop, and drum’n’bass. The group notably sings in French in addition to Occitan, a love language indigenous to southern France. Founded in Marseille in 1984, Massilia AUDIO SYSTEM are made up of MCs René Mazzarino (aka Papet Jali), François Ridel (aka Moussu Tatou), and Laurent Garibaldi (aka Gari Gréu), plus turntablist Gilbert Kayalik (aka DJ Kayalik), keyboardist Janvié, and guitarist Blù. Previous members consist of Lux Botté (aka Lux B), an MC who passed away in 2008. The recognition of Massilia AUDIO SYSTEM began to lengthen beyond Marseille through the 1990s using the launch of albums including Parla Patois (1992), Chourmo (1993), Commando Fada (1995), Aïollywood (1997), and Marseille London Encounter (1999). The group consequently began striking the French albums graph with 3968 CR 13 (2000), Occitanista (2002), Massilia Fait Tourner (2004), and Oai e Libertat (2007). Many of the first Massilia AUDIO SYSTEM albums had been remastered and reissued in 2002 following the group authorized a cope with the Wagram Music label.
