Mas Rapido!

Mas Rapido! is among the many aliases of guitarist and vocalist Donna Esposito (previously using the Cyclones) and bassist and vocalist Frank Bednash (ex-Riff Doctors), a duo having a knack for energetic power pop, stellar songcraft, along with a habit of changing their collaborative name (and their drummers) frequently. New Yorker Esposito and NEW YORK native Bednash started making music collectively in 1983, liberating an individual as Cowboy and Spingirl (the name originated from in item on the Chinese cafe menu that later on discovered was intended as a dual entendre); carrying out a self-released cassette, they partnered with Subway Information to concern an eight-song EP in 1988, which mixed self-produced demos with classes documented with Mitch Easter. After relocating to Seattle, a full-length Cowboy and Spingirl recording made an appearance in 1993, but after liberating a second recording, Chances & Bobs, the group progressed into Toothpaste 2000, liberating six albums for Parasol Information you start with 1997’s Loss of life from the Italian Film Celebrity. Following a sojourn within the U.K., Esposito and Bednash discovered a new house in Hoboken, NJ, and started producing uptempo pop music once again, this time having a sharper, punk-influenced advantage, beneath the name Mas Rapido! The brand new trio cut their self-titled debut for Parasol in 2003. Another Mas Rapido! recording, Pity Party, adopted in 2007, while Dumb Can be King appeared this year 2010.
