Martin’s Folly

Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Martin’s Folly is a origins rock-band whose approach embraces the affects of straight-ahead rock and roll & move, country-rock, and folk-rock, producing a mixture that’s smart and emotionally powerful without having to be pretentious or fussy. Martin’s Folly was created by Chris Grey (acoustic guitar and vocals), Jim Duffy (keyboards), Paul Web page (bass), and Pat Fitzgerald (drums) in 1995, liberating its first recording (around the band’s personal Johnson’s Polish label) a 12 months later. They authorized using the twang-friendly impartial label Tar Hut for his or her second recording, 1999’s Guy, It’s Chilly, and came back to self-distribution with 2003’s From Wish, which presented a cameo appearance from famous Mott the Hoople frontman Ian Hunter.
