A soulful English vocalist/songwriter with an enthusiastic ear for common melodies and a knack for crafting reflective and relatable contemporary pop music, Leicester-based Martin Luke Dark brown pulls from a deep well of motivation which includes Stevie Question, Sam Smith, Adele, as well as the Beatles. Dark brown released his debut one, the wistful and aptly called “Nostalgia,” in 2014, using the Consider Me Out EP arriving the next year. Following singles included “Darkness and Light,” “Appreciate Me Sober,” and 2017’s shifting “65 Roses,” the last mentioned which was a tribute to his ex-girlfriend, who acquired recently passed on after fighting cystic fibrosis.
