Martin de Ron

This Swedish merchant pursued his fascination with chamber music as he traveled towards the port cities of Amsterdam, Viborg, Lisbon and Dublin. He constructed several instrumental quintets aswell as some vocal parts. De Ron released several string quartets by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven to the general public of Lisbon and published musical content articles for “Allgemeine musikalische Zeitung” on Portugal. His self-reliance is clearly shown in the experimental strategies with which he treated tranquility, sonority and rhythms in his compositions.
