Wayne Brown’s longest working woman vocalist, Martha Large (aka Martha Harvin), began her profession in Washington, D.C. She went to the same senior high school (Roosevelt) and sang within the same chapel (Trinity AME Zion) as Sandra Bears, Carrie Mingo, Elegance Ruffin, and Margie Clark, the Four Jewels, but didn’t sign up for until Carrie Mingo stop.
