Marsimoto may be the alter ego of German rapper Marteria — a great task that started when Marteria (who was simply given birth to Marten Laciny on Dec 4, 1982 in Rostock, East Germany) attempted an effect gadget, making a high-pitched tone of voice similar compared to that of American rapper Quasimoto (the alter ego of Madlib). Oddly enough, this pothead alter ego was made even prior to the release of the “true” record: the initial Marsimoto record premiered in 2006 through Magnum 12 — twelve months before Marteria’s correct debut record, 2007’s Bottom Ventura. Marsimoto’s second record, Zu Zweit Allein, premiered on Four Music in 2008 and charted at amount 84 in the German graphs. After another Marteria record, 2010’s Zum Glück in expire Zukunft, Marsimoto came back using the 2012 record Grüner Samt. The record, which featured creation by Inactive Rabbit, the Krauts, Child Simius, among others, inserted the graphs at number 3.
