Enigmatic masked DJ/producer Marshmello makes groove-oriented, synth- and bass-heavy digital dance music. In the nature of additional masked DJs like Deadmau5 and Daft Punk, Marshmello (whose genuine identity continues to be a secret) appears putting on a full-head-covering marshmallow face mask. Regardless of the anonymity, Marshmello’s profession blew up in 2015 when he started releasing tracks on-line, including remixes of Zedd’s “Gorgeous Now,” Jack port Ü’s “Where Are U Today,” among others. Following that came displays at New York’s Pier 94, Pomona, California’s HARD Time of the Deceased celebration, and Miami Music Week. In 2016, Marshmello released a compilation of his previously released monitors, Joytime, which reached number 1 on an electronic top digital albums graph. Included on the record was the one “Maintain It Mello,” offering rapper Omar LinX.
