When the choice rock and roll outfit Sumack disbanded in 2000, frontman Mark McAdam ventured from a solo job. He left LA for the artsy neighborhoods of NY City’s Greenwich Community and began composing music. He crafted himself a straightforward, melancholic sound encircled by acoustic guitars and lite string agreements. McAdam’s debut record Boy Wonder made an appearance on Superhead in fall 2002.
