Mark Loomis

Tag Loomis was the co-founder from the Delicious chocolate Watchband, both in its first 1965-vintage Los Gatos, CA-based edition and its later on, far better known 1966-onward incarnation featuring David Aguilar seeing that business lead singer. Loomis have been a member of the browse band known as the Chapparals in the first ’60s — in 1965, he and fellow previous Chapparals’ guitarist Ned Torney produced the nucleus of what became the initial Delicious chocolate Watchband, structured at Foothill University in Los Gatos. When that music group divide, Loomis hid out for a little with a browse group known as the Shandells before arranging the second, a lot more effective version from the Watchband. His playing was almost as prominent as Aguilar’s performing, and he and tempo guitarist Sean Tolby produced an excellent duo. Loomis still left the group past due in the summertime of 1967 and only working with the greater folk-oriented Tingle Guild. He afterwards returned towards the Watchband fold within their last incarnation, arranged by Tolby and bassist Costs Flores on the behest of their administration, playing a folkier sound that was evidently very near to the Tingle Guild’s sound. Loomis originally intended to take part in the past due ’90s reunion of the group but taken out and was changed by his 1967-classic successor, Tim Abbott.
