The kid of the Baptist preacher, he was raised in Guymon, Oklahoma, the youngest of three guys, playing soccer and basketball in early stages for his college teams. Viewing the music video for Weezer’s “Pal Holly” in junior high motivated King to get a electric guitar and subsequently begin his first music group. He graduated from university with a level in music, and immediately after in 2004 installed with the people in Hinder. They gained a cope with General Records after just a few gigs jointly and released their debut record, Severe Behavior, in nov 2005.
