Biography
An associate of Hesperus as well as the Baltimore Consort, Tag Cudek performs on an array of early tools, like the cittern, Renaissance and Baroque guitars, viols, crumhorns, and recorders. He received his early trained in classical in the Condition University or college of NY at Buffalo. He was granted 1st prize in the 1st annual Baltimore Chamber Music Competition. A regular performer with Les Cordes du Roy, the Folger Consort, the Traditional western Blowing wind, Piffaro, Pomerium, and Apollo’s Open fire, he has made an appearance at numerous celebrations, like the Boston Early Music Festival; the Tage Change Music Event, Regensburg; the Glasgow International Early Music Event; the Vienna Konzerthaus; the Teatro Nacional, Panama; NY Metropolitan Museum; Spoleto Event, Charleston; as well as the Kennedy Middle. His recordings have already been released on Dorian, Windham Hillsides, Linn, Greenhays, Golden Apple, and Maggie’s Music. Cudek is definitely energetic as an educator and it has taught at the faculty from the Virgin Islands and Towson University or college in Baltimore. He’s director from the Peabody Renaissance Outfit in the Johns Hopkins University or college in Baltimore, and may be the creator and director from the SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL Early Music System in the Interlochen Arts Camp in Interlochen, MI. In 2000, he started performing Renaissance period music of France, Spain, and Britain with vocalist Kristen Toedtman as Duo Encina.
