Marion Verbruggen

Marion Verbruggen is well known on her behalf magnetic shows, which demonstrate not merely her skills being a recorder participant, but also her knowledge of the repertoire. She makes playing the recorder appearance effortless, switching conveniently between your tenor-, alto-, and soprano-voiced musical instruments during any recital or concert. She may also play florid ornaments, sharp accents, and efficiently liquid passages while keeping ideal breathing control. Verbruggen provides subtlety of shading and vibrancy to her music, having what one reviewer known as a “turn feeling of articulation.” After taking on the recorder as a kid, Verbruggen studied in the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Frans Brueggen, graduating cum laude. She was a reward winner in the 1st International Recorder Competition in Bruges, and in addition has received the Erwin Bodky Honor for early music as well as the Nicolai Reward for modern Dutch music, displaying her gratitude for songs aswell as traditional functions for the recorder.
