Marion Abernathy

Marion Abernathy, in any other case referred to as “the Blues Girl,” was among a small number of performers who played an integral role in beginning Specialty Information. In 1944, creator Artwork Rupe, having sensed cheated in his initial partnership in an archive label, come up with what was after that referred to as Juke Container Information. Abernathy, who he dubbed “the Blues Girl,” was the next musician ever released over the label (supported by the Friend Banks Sextet) performing “Voo-It! Voo-It!,” co-written by saxman Banking institutions and guitarist William “Frosty” Pyles. She may have gone behind as much as a dozen paths out of this period.
