Mario Venzago

Swiss pianist and conductor Mario Venzago received his music education in Zurich and Vienna, and studied performing with Hans Swarowsky and Leonard Bernstein. Early in his profession he performed for Radiotelevisione Svizerra like a piano soloist and accompanist. He produced his American performing debut in 1988 when he carried out the LA Philharmonic in the Hollywood Dish. He has carried out many orchestras in European countries, notably the Berlin Philharmonic, the Basel Symphony Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, amongst others, and since 2011 he continues to be the main conductor from the Bern Symphony Orchestra, aswell as Artist in colaboration with the Tapiola Sinfonietta of Finland. Venzago continues to be mixed up in motion for historically educated performances, documenting the symphonies of Anton Bruckner with orchestras of suitable size and instrumentation for the time.
