Mariachi Tapatio de Jose Marmolejo

Among the leading mariachi rings from the 1930s and ’40s, Mariachi Tapatio de José Marmolejo introduced the trumpet towards the mariachi custom. The group was probably one of the most scholarly of Mexico’s mariachi rings, with several users with the capacity of reading music and two users who had analyzed music theory. Mariachi Tapatio de José Marmolejo was founded by José Marmolejo Ramirez (created in Tecolotlán, Jalesco, Mexico, in 1908) soon after departing his uncle Cirilo Marmolejo’s group, Mariachi Coculense de Cirilo Marmolejo, in 1933. The music group, which highlighted trumpet participant Jesùs Salazar, was aswell known because of its rehearsals since it was for concerts. Rehearsing daily in Ramirez’s single-story tenement house, about ten blocks from Plaza Garibaldi, the music group was often joined up with by future performing superstars including José Negrete, Pedro Infante, and Vicente Fernandez. Pursuing Ramirez’s loss of life in 1958, Mariachi Tapatio de José Marmolejo continuing to execute for another 10 years.
