Mariachi Coculense de Cirilo Marmolejo was probably one of the most influential of Mexico’s mariachi rings. Initially referred to as Mariachi de Justo Villa and Violins del Cerro, the group laid the platform for every being successful mariachi group. Not only is it the 1st mariachi band to execute in the best stage display and the first ever to come in a audio movie, these were the first ever to make a power recording, the first ever to perform outside Mexico, and the first ever to record in america. Mariachi Coculense de Cirilo Marmolejo originally highlighted Justo Villa on vihuela, a five-stringed ukelele-like device, Cristobal Figueroa on guitarron, and Chon Garcia and Mariano Cuenca on violins.
