Margie Bowes

b. 18 March 1941, Roxboro, NEW YORK, USA. Bowes discovered electric guitar and was performing on theVirginia Barn Dance on WDVA, Danville and on tv in Roanoke, Virginia, in her early teenagers. In 1958, she gained a skill competition arranged by your pet Milk Firm, which resulted in her documenting for Hickory and shortly afterwards appearing in the Grand Ole Opry. In 1959, ‘Poor Aged Heartsick Me’ became her initial country chart strike, peaking at amount 10 and charting for 16 weeks. She implemented it with lots 15 with her edition of Phil Everly’s ‘My Appreciate And Small Me’. She transferred to Mercury Information in 1961 but just managed an individual hit using the strangely entitled ‘Small Miss PARTICIPATE IN No One’ and by 1964, she acquired joined Decca Information. Two more graph entries implemented with ‘Our Factors’ (amount 33) and ‘Understand Your Gal’ (amount 26), the ‘reply’ music to Johnny Money’s ‘Understand Your Guy’. She accomplished no further graph entries and in 1969, her last Decca Records solitary, ‘Go Woman Proceed’, appeared prophetically correct, regardless of the b-side becoming ‘I Possess What It Calls for’.
