Mareva

A former Miss France, Mareva Galanter mixes Polynesian-style ukulele, electronica, and “yéyé” (’60s-design People from france pop) into what she identifies as “ukuyeye.” Created in Tahiti, Mareva in addition has dabbled in tv as an celebrity and presenter. Her debut record, the properly entitled Ukuyeye, features variations of tunes from famous brands Brigitte Bardot, Serge Gainsbourg, and Nancy Sinatra with a distinctive twist, and premiered in 2006.
