Marcus Brown

Marcus Dark brown recorded one spirit solitary for the Shreveport, LA-based Peermont label (actually a subsidiary from the Murco label) in 1968, “I’m Approaching Home”/”Hey LITTTLE LADY.” Relating to Murco owner Dee Marais, he didn’t believe Brown’s tone of voice was that great, and only documented and released the solitary at Brown’s demand~the sort of philanthropy if, utilized regularly, will begin to place you out of business. Brown’s tone of voice was mediocre however, not terrible, and “I’m Arriving House” was a passable bluesy spirit ballad, reissued within the Kent compilation Shreveport Southern Spirit: The Murco Tale.
